Funding for a Capture Card?

I'm debating with myself about whether or not to get a capture card so that I can do Video Reviews and record gameplays for the site and Machinima. A cap card costs 80 dollars though. Or I could just stick with written reviews and not upload anything to Machinima. I'm in a pickle.

A capture card is a device that allows you to capture images and videos from your tv and send them directly into the computer where it can be edited, produced and uploaded on to youtube from there. With the added use of splitters and various RCA cables, a capture card can record video game footage that's is all free to edit to person's willing. For instance I could record some Grand Theft Auto and edit it to make all the pedestrians look like chicken wings.

yea, u can record video right off them using fraps or Xfire. But if your not really a pc gamer and dont want to rebuy the same game you own on a console for pc, the capture card is a good option
